what are you intending to do with the lift in question?

if its simply lift the car so you can store a second one under it in the same floor space its a bit different,
than a lift thats to be used frequently to work on the car,
and in fact a lift used to work on the car is usually a two post lift

as they allow more access under the car and don,t support the car under the tires making things like brake jobs far more complicated,
stop by your local car dealers and custom corvette shops and ask questions,
you might be amazed at what you learn...
yes you'll pay more for a decent lift but your far less likely,
to be trying to bench press your car without any warning also

remember you do tend to get what you pay for
and most of the cheap imported lifts are not really safe in my estimation,
you can just compare the thickness of the steel and its obvious.
check with the VENDORS local BBB about complaints,
before buying a lift from any vendor

any lift worth having will have this sticker, its NOT just a "STICKER" its a certification that the lift design HAS BEEN TESTED and will function under its rated load plus about 30%-50%, and that it meets some minimum safety feature requirements.
ID suggest you buy a brand name as youll want replacement parts at some point in the future, and many of the imported lifts are sold off in batches then there.s no longer parts or support as the vendors selling them change names and no longer provide parts or honor previous guarantees
try to find a local dealer that installs lifts as well as sells lifts many places won't grantee a lift if they don't install it, and it gives you a chance to look over the lifts in person
LINKS to MANY of the Auto lift suppliers
the list is several years old ID bet many importers are no longer in business
the ones in red have a decent track record
