ways to turn the engine without the starter

there are several ways to turn over the engine WITHOUT the starter, and when your adjusting valves cold , or degreeing in a cam,on an engine stand it helps to have some idea how to do it, at the bottom of this post Ill place some related linked info

I think most experienced guys have two or three degree wheels for that very reason,
(that the larger size is tough to fit in an engine compartment on an installed engine)
