I have my motor torn down and am ready to take the block to the machine shop for the 377/383 build. This motor came with an oil pan which is a good thing since it is a 1 pc rear main.

My question is, will this pan work with a stroker crank? Im assuming it will take a few precision wacks with a hammer in a few spots.

selecting and fitting a stroker oil pan on a SBC a bit more dependent on the CHASSIS its being installed in and the required ground clearance than the increased clearance for the crank alone.
yes they make oil pans with a bit extra rod clearance, but a stock oil pan can frequently be carefully modified by an experienced engine builder to fit and function ,providing the necessary connecting rod clearance.
ID point out that the commercially mad higher volume baffled oil pans are not that expensive and having a 6-9 quart capacity and a windage tray adds durability so its a very worth while durability increasing component

don,t forget that oil flow rates, and reducing the transmission fluid temp in the lower radiator on cars equipped with an automatic transmission, have a big effect on engine cooling so adding a trans or oil cooler helps engine durability
