"grumpyvette?
I am going to be pulling the eng/trans, I am trying to find out what trans I have in the car, I know their is more #'s on it than I can see at this point, but here is what I have so far
3925661 it says general motors on the side, and the # below that is 3088336. My best guess so far with the info I have and research I have done is it is a M22 close ratio.
Please share your thoughts........
Thanks"

but a 800 lb- 1500 lb rated cycle lift, lifting less than 300 lbs should not be under much stress.

IVE used the motor cycle lift as a trans jack in the past and Im seriously looking at purchasing one to use a a trans jack for the shop

1500 lb. Aluminum ATV / Motorcycle Lift

Amazing deals on this 1500Lb Aluminum Atv / Motorcycle Lift at Harbor Freight. Quality tools & low prices.

this motor cycle lift can be used as a transmission jack and in my opinion is slightly better built than the 800 lb rated trans jack listed before this

Just passing on some information I got in email today.

Keisler Engineering has been purchased by SST (Silver Sport Transmissions).

They will Continue to Offer PerfectFit™ Tremec TKO 500, 600 and T56 Magnum Complete Conversion Kits for General Motors - Ford - Mopar.

"Jack Silver became a fan of the PerfectFit™ technology while restoring his 1986 El Camino. He learned of the closure of Keisler Engineering, traveled to Tennessee to learn more about the possible acquisition of the Keisler assets, recognized the potential for a great business opportunity, and decided to fully commit his time and energy to create Silver Sport Transmissions. Located in east Tennessee, Silver Sport will continue to market the Tremec Transmission with PerfectFit™ technology providing a high-quality product to restoration enthusiasts and shops wanting the best fit and performance possible."

good to know that... its a shame when great technology is available and you dont need it today, then ten years down the line you go "man they used to make this exact part that would make my life alot easier" and its no longer available.
