where can I find, a good quality oil can?

where can I find, a good quality machinists oil can?
at times its the dirt cheap simple tools that most of us take for granted that are hard to find,
I,ve had a oil can similar, in appearance too the one pictured below,,"but I'm sure the old one is better quality" that I've owned for 40 plus years that recently stopped working after it got totally screwed, after it was dropped and damaged.
I doubt I paid $4 for the darn oil can back then, but it was about the best quality oil can i could find.,but as silly as it might sound I found it was ideal for what I used it for, but I can,t find one locally that looks similar and it worked great for my drill press and mill maintenance so I would like to replace it. the old oil can produced very good pressure and held about a pint of oil

yeah HARBOR FREIGHT sells a really cheaply made oil can, but after looking at it , its basically not up to the quality I would like.
that might sound silly but its not the cost in this case, that maters, its the long reach and ability to inject oil at BOTH decent volume and pressure that Im looking for here

Those china oil cans are terrible Grumpy.
A few uses and they quit working.

I think the last oil can I bought from my local Blains Farm & Fleet.
Check local farm supply stores near You.
Around me there is also Rural King & Tractor Supply.
Stores not just in small rural areas.
Located in Peoria, Il also.

Check the NAPA website tool supply catalog too.

I like the plunger pump oil cans with the chrome plated flexible steel whip hose.
 

I suspect Brian is right when he says go to a farm supply. I bought the oiler below from Tractor Supply and it's made in the USA. I have not used enough to know how it will last, less than can, but there are no leaks coming from the top anywhere.

thanks for the link, Im going to order a new oil can from those guys as soon as finances, and local travel planing allow
 
well I stopped by an auto parts store today to pick up a couple minor parts, I look over on the tool display and theres what appears to be a serviceable oil can, its says 1 quart capacity.
surely not the same quality as Im really looking for... but its not appearing to be totally crap either.... , even though it clearly says made in china.
So I asked while I was there if they might have a semi-decent quality machinists oil can, the counter guy says they only have one type/size and he apologized for the price and quality, but after I looked at it I figured it was cheap enough that I could try it and not feel screwed if it failed to work....
Ill let you know if it was serviceable or a dumb move in a few months of use.

I,m not all that impressed, with the quality, but it looks like it should work and I need one...plews 50-347
i'll let you know in a years time how it holds up
 
YOU KNOW I'M FREQUENTLY AMAZED THAT WHEN I GO TO HELP OTHER GUYS IN THEIR SHOPS OR GARAGES,
that basic tools like a machinists oil can, that is a basic almost mandatory maintenance, tool that has many uses , especially if you have a drill press, lathe, mill, or other machine tools, and when they don,t have basic maintenance supplies like machinist oil, a selection of decent drill bits or a dozen other things that most shops use constantly , even things like shop rags which are almost mandatory for maintaining tools, along with the oil can.

and like I said earlier in this thread (check the post dates) I'd stop back and post how that oil can held up,
well its worked out fine!
 
Its always a bit surprising, at least to me , that the cheap, and you might assume common tools, most of us take for granted can be hard to locate at times,and darn hard to find in a well made quality version, as it seems most guys opt for the least expensive option and don,t seem to want to pay for quality, in what many guys perceive as a throw away or disposable type, tool, I've owned one of those oil squirt cans you linked too(above) , and while it worked, and still works, its a bit too small, in capacity, to be all that useful ,in some cases in my opinion.
(I hate having to refill it more than once while using a mill or drill press)
I think the one below which cost me twice as much is the better bargain, but of course each of us must make his own call on that, but I use mine on the drill press and mill frequently.

the plews 50-347 I bought last year at that auto parts store, is still working fine so for the $15 I paid its been worth the price
OH! in case your curious
I own TWO now , I bought a second one several month later, too use for cutting oil when I use the MILLING MACHINE or DRILL PRESS
as MMO, works buts its not ideal cutting oil for drill bits and end mills

theres a 16 oz version of the one i linked to above also, i think you have a good point about refilling often.
