honestly I occasionally get questions that can,t be correctly answered without having the individual car and the application on hand to measure the clearances, simply because in many cases the difference in production tolerances and the component you have selected to use, may change the answer.
its generally a good idea to check your current intake and air cleaner or manifold clearance to get some idea of what your dealing with before making changes and asking the component manufacturers if their parts fit under your current hood line,
BEFORE YOU ORDER OR SWAP PARTS, ESPECIALLY IF YOUR NOT THRILLED WITH THE PROSPECT OF NEEDING A NEW HOOD OR HOOD SCOOP
I don,t know any experienced racer or engine builder that does not have a tool box with at least some modeling clay to verify clearances like piston to valve or air cleaner to under the hood clearances.
will a combo of components fit? in some cases the answers rather obvious, in a few its really going to take the effort too measure accurately.

PLACE A 1" square cube of modeling clay on all the suspected higher points on the new components and slowly carefully close and if you can, without resistance lock the hood, then open it and look for indentations on the clay, any cube of clay thats been squished to under 1/2" probably indicates an area of concern as engines tend to move under higher torque loads, so less clearance generally results in contact and eventually problems under high load rapid shifts at full power levels.
A couple cubic inches of modeling clay on that new air cleaner and carefully closing the hood will get you accurate clearance info
yes you can ask on line if its a common intake manifold and car combo as some one before you may have tried it out and been successful or found it won,t fit! but at times your only choice is to try it out for yourself. and yes at times you can make a few modifications to get a component to fit!! thats why they make MILLING MACHINES AND WELDERS AND CALIPERS

After careful measurement and fabrication of a custom test model,plenum, I got it to not only fit but flow better, but keep in mind I own a milling machine and a TIG welder so this is not a project you'll easily complete in your average garage!

your problem is VERY COMMON, if the throttle body and thermostat housing has a clearance issue on some modified EFI intakes, heres the usual cure
