WOULD YOU buy a car with an obvious engine swap?

I frequently see guys swap engines and the results , naturally vary a great deal, with their skill levels, but some guys 1/2 built project car where the guy got in over his head can be a true bargain, and a well done swap can be a thing of beauty, that can bring hints of lust into your thoughts of acquiring the car or promote plans of building something similar.

ID look it over carefully and ask for a test drive, and allow the car time to over heat and look for suspension problems or vibrations or a tendency to pull when you accelerate or brake, and any oil, coolant leaks , or unusual tire wear and any documentation, look over the fit, Finnish, electrical connections, gauge function, etc. before buying it, but in most cases if it looks well done, and drives nice your going to get a huge deal, and have avoided a bunch of work if you were planing on doing something similar yourself. In most cases a car like thats not going to bring top dollar, but theres been a ton of cash in parts and weeks of work done to the car, its the guys that are a bit reluctant to tackle problem , not listed in a factory shop manual, that won,t touch it with a 10 foot pole, but the guys that enjoy owning something unique , will enjoy the minor challenges
Ive purchased a few cars like that over the years and ALWAYS been WELL rewarded with the value for the price, but then , theres not much I can,t fix easily either and I know what I'm looking at!
