Got this in trade 4 default in lease payments due. It took me a while obtaining a clean title in my name as last owner never had a title. This truck runs but smokes. Straight solid frame, original paint. OD says 79,400 but I bet it’s 179,400.
Original 396, 4 spd, single exhaust and 12 bolt rear. Factory AC (June assembly date). I had this on my lift and this is what I found:
Surface rust on frame (poked and scraped hard, no though rust found) cab floor is solid
Exhaust needs replacing
Shocks leak
All rubber grommets are bad
Driveshaft has very slight movement
Leaky wheel brake cylinders
A few small rust through spots around wheel wells in bed
Bad tie rod
Lower ball joints are bad
Power steering pump has slow leak
Appears that all brake lines have been replaced along with newer e brake cables with hardware
Interior is livable
Radio doesn’t work
Cigar lighter not working
Rear view mirror does’t stay on bracket
Dash has 2” hole drilled (no clue why)
Tires are old, dry rot in treading
Windshield posts and perimeter are solid, no rust found
Windshield wiper rubber is shot, pump is missing hoses, but pump hums and motor works.
Original carb w/tin tag attached
Horn may have a bad ground
Radiator is date code correct
Brake distribution block has been added and I don’t believe pb booster is original
Underhood with noted exceptions,
looks original
Right side window is difficult to crank near the top
Engine water temp reached 200 at 20 minute idle on 95 degree day, but didn’t over heat.
Oil pressure a steady 45 while driving
driving - steering is slacking with a quarter turn of the wheel.
Tracks well considering
Reached 75 mph when shuttering started
Front suspension has some noise over bumps

Shipping (most states) on open car transport, multi car trailer is $420 through broker and 10 day max delivery, $345 for (up to 2 weeks - 20 mile depot delivery), full insurance, no deductible is included. I can have my roadside service tow up to 200 miles at no charge.
My goal is a quick sale, no contact (I don’t want to be out in this heat, go out on test drives or wait for people not to show for their appointment)
