383 Build questions

Im building a 383 for my 91 Corvette, looking for a torqey, fun to drive car that will be mostly driven on the highway and in town. so far I have the Dana 36 rebuilt with 3.54 gears, the 700R4 rebuilt with a 2600 stall convertor, Hooker long tube headers with a single high flow cat and Borla mufflers, all the emission items have been removed, I have a Scat rotating assembly with 6" rods, forged pistons that will yield 10.4:1 compression with the AFR 195cc eliminator heads. I am not sure about a cam for this or an intake. I have been researching the First intake and the TPIS mini ram, For cams I like the Comp cams 268XFI. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Ive had a great deal of success with the crower 00471 in similar 383-406 SBC builds
heres a very similar cam from lunati thats just a touch milder that might be about ideal
both require a 3000 rpm stall converter

heres the CRANE HYDRAULIC CAM I USED IN MY TPI CORVETTE FOR DECADES with ERSON 1.6:1 roller rockers
it gives up a bit on PEAK power , compaired to the crower 00471 which i also tried.
,but gave exceptional easy drive ability and worked great with a wet 150 hp nitrous system,
felt ease of driving was worth giving up noticeable peak power simply because I seldom race,

I was saving to buy the 225cc dragon slayer heads when my son passed and I was forced to move to texas

How about this cam?
Comp cams 280XFI HR13
Advertised Exhaust Duration:288
Intake Duration at .050 Inch Lift:230
Exhaust Duration at .050 Inch Lift:236
Intake Valve Lift:0.576
Exhaust Valve Lift:0.57
Lobe Separation:113

that cam matched to the first TPI intake, dragon slayer heads, and used with
1.6:1 roller rockers should work great,
it basically matched my old crane 119661 hydraulic roller, you give up maybe 20-25 peak hp, vs the crower,
but it should drive flawlessly with a 3.73:1 rear gear and 3000 rpm stall.

talk to you cam vendor of choice, about the choices made, but a 2600 stall converter, and a 3.54 rear gear might require a marginally milder cam

probably not, unless the issue is related to clearances which is unlikely
