I got asked
"what are the basic accessories or basic equipment Id need to go hunting,
other than a rifle ammo and a licence."
well obviously at least to me, there's a fairly long list of basic tools or clothing,
and for your safety and ease of getting game out of the field,
keep in mind your totally dependent on what you carry with you, that's a two edged sword, you have basic needs, like clean water, food and staying dry and reasonably warm/comfortable, but you want to limit what you carry to as few basics as you can to save space and weight.obviously if your going to return to a...

a well made kukri is a great tool and
yes ITS BOTH A TOOL AND ,
with the required skill set ,a very effective lethal weapon
originally potentially a weapon, in skilled hands,
THAT'S DESIGNED SO IT EASILY KILLS WITH A SINGLE HIT. if used as a weapon,
but about 99.9% of the time a KUKRI is a handy tool , that's much more handy than an axe or hatchet
these kukri are generally built from thick truck leaf spring steel and differentially heat treated (the edge is made a bit harder tempered than the spine of the blades for increased durability )...
