Best aftermarket engine management system for FIRST 383?

Hello All,
Any advice on the best or preferred engine management system for my new 383 FIRST build? Trying to steer away form burning prom chips.
Thanks

as with almost everything else, the more you know and the more tools you have access to,
the greater chance you have of getting the ideal results.
once you get the fuel pressure and vacuum set up, you need to verify ignition and map the EFI fuel.

verify you have the basics well matched, injector size , compression ratio, cam timing, etc.

ID start with a fuel pressure gauge

this is the most consistently accurate I.R temp gun I've used for testing

Thank You sir.
I will look carefully through what you have attached. There are many good aftermarket systems out there that would run my engine perfectly, Fast ez, fast xfi, megasquirt, fi-tech, pro m, etc. I am reaching out to some of you guys that have gone down this path many times over to see what your opinion and experience was on the most optimal one, if you will, for a third gen car that wants to get away from the prom chip. If keeping the prom chip is the most ideal, so be it. But I would like to hear it from the "horses mouth" before I travel down the path. There were, at one point, people/companies that made pigtail adapters to sync an aftermarket ems to the factory ecm in order to maintain dash/gauges. Seems that as the demand has diminished for TPI, these things are hard to find or get info on.
