blade sharpeners

I found many of the videos interesting, and informative, but
Id point out the blade sharpening process is best done,
in several progressively finer grit stages ,
and you really benefit from use of a liquid
on the abrasive surface to carry away the fine metallic debris,
Ive used dozens of blade sharpener designs over the years,
a balance should be found, where you have something easy to use, easy to transport
and not to expensive, because you'll more than likely want to use the sharpener in the field
having a razor sharp blade when you starts nice, but you need to keep in sharp during the whole field trip
and that may include a dozen uses, from camp use , dozens of chores to dressing out game or prepping food.
this is also why I suggest from experience you need two types of blades

on most hunts I carry a small diamond hone, similar to those linked right below,
and a small bottle of rust inhibiting oil to use in several ways, and to help hone blade edges
and a small rifle bore cleaning rod, brush, patch jag etc.

the small easy to pack and carry sharpeners like those linked above,
do a decent job on getting back a decent functional edge rapidly
