Build a Welding Table

I stumbled across this video making a welding table and it looks to be very nice. I can't
call it cheap at about $500 for a 24x36 table, but you could spend a whole lot more I'm
sure. They also have a 24x48 table that built much lighter, but sell for much less at $330.

Looking at welders and I'm interested to know if anyone has used an Everlast
brand. They have some very nice comments on the internet when I look at what's
being said about them.

This one most interests me since I don't have alot of room in my shop.

while we ALL wish that we could get QUALITY tools cheaply and THERE ARE bargins OUT THERE TO BE HAD!
BTW a FEW places to look over and ask QUESTIONS
IM no expert on welding even thought Ive been welding for 35 years PLUS, ask MANY QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU PURCHASE A welder, and be SURE you understand the answers also

yeah! damn near any tool worth having costs a great deal more than most guys have easily available to spend, and in the case of a welding table, if your like me, you just always want and need one but every time you get close to having the cash some other project is either more important or a family emergency depletes your cash flow.
Ive never tried to hide my desire to built a really solid metal work bench for the shop, that would be useful for darn near all the stuff I do, the welding table is a great idea , but at 2ft x 3ft it seems a bit small.
HAVING A WORKING & WELDING TABLE IS NOT MANDATORY, BUT YOULL WONDER HOW ANYONE CAN WORK WITHOUT A DECENT VISE AND WORK BENCH,ONCE YOU HAVE ONE IN YOUR SHOP, AND A SOLID METAL BENCH HAS BENEFITS FOR USE AS A WELDING LOCATION. I KNOW IVE WANTED ONE LIKE THIS PICTURE FOR DECADES.....I JUST NEVER SEEM TO GET THE CASH BEFORE SOME FAMILY EMERGENCY TAKES IT FIRST

I ran across something similar a while back , a table thats designed to lock projects in place for fabrication/welding that comes in several sizes
honestly a decent work tables a huge advantage in a shop, you just have to prevent everyone and his brother from stacking everything imaginable on, it or you find its seldom free of debris to use

darn It would be great to have a good deal of easily disposable cash to spend on tools , these tool tables with built in clamp points have a lot of potential

LOL, I wouldn't have figured a wife would know that you don't weld things to a "welding table".

Entirely plausible, tho'

But fair enough, I pull my wife's leg like this all the time.
"What's that thumping noise?"
"Oh, it's the driveshaft. It might pop through the floor and impale us all."
"Really??!?!?"
"No, we have a flat tire - pull over."

I do believe we are better at this game then the girls, since we practice on each other all the time !!!:)

I once made my wife believe that shark with feet roamed the Ardennes...

"...local nuclear power plant had a leak and radioactive water infiltrated the nearby SeaWorld. Shark tank saw animals mutating with feet. By the time the expert biologists arrived, the sharks had escaped into the wild

...and were never found..."

If y’all u need a fancy table check out Fireball Tools. He sells plans and some of the parts to build. His table is I think 3’x4’ and is flat within .015” all over. Much better than the Stronghands tables. He also makes real accurate squares. Check him out. He’s a young man with all his stuff in one place!

Not welding related but prank on wife. I had a ‘62 Corvette with a loose baffel in the muffler that produced a chirping sound. My wife asked about it and I told her a bird was flying behind me and I stopped fast and it went in my exhaust pipe. Several days later we were going somewhere and she said “ when is that bird getting out?” It took me a while to figure out what she was talking about.

Much too funny !!! LOL

Did you have to pull over cause you couldn't drive and laugh that hard?
