bulk ammo sources

quick question on ordering ammo

I have for decades had zero issues, having occasionally ordered..ordered a case or two of various types of ammo,
like 223 rem, 7.62/39 and 10 ga & 12 ga in various types,
as it's generally cheaper than the price of some reloading components in total in some calibers.
I'd rather order from the local gun shops but their prices are absurdly marked up
I never had issues until yesterday when the vendor demanded I send a clear photo of my drivers licence , both front and back.
I told them to cancel the order as that was never going to happen,
I asked why they wanted the pictures and they stated they wanted to be sure I was 21 or older,
I said ask my credit card company I've had the account for 60 years, ask my bank I've had that account for over 60 years
have any of you had to deal with that CRAP!
btw shop carefully, it's not uncommon to a box of 20 rifle cartridges cost, lets say $39-$79 at a local gun shop,
but in case quantities' (500-800-or 1000 cartridge lots) sell for less than half that price per cartridge,
, especially in common military caliber lots

the only plausible reason they ( state or feds) would want,
to mandate a credit card receipt for every ammo sale,
is to build an illegal firearm owner registry,
so far its only the more liberal states pushing this crap

some state politicians in some liberal states are pushing hard,
to get a state wide(eventually it's hoped by them, to be country wide)
firearm owners list designed for later confiscation,
a list , forcing gun owners to register their firearms through the back door ,
route by mandating ammo purchases must be made ONLY with credit cards,

thus mandating a documented record of name and address.

it looks like things may be improving for the civilian ammo market AND U.S. military
certainly the TRUMP presidency, has made things far easier for the civilian markets,
compared to the very restrictive socialist and corrupt agenda biden pushed.

Id strongly suggest you purchase at least a couple hundred cartridges per firearm, in each caliber.
know that there will be real or politically motivated shortages in many calibers, some time in the future

all major USA, civilian ammo manufacturers were sold to a Czechoslovakian billionaire

basically what they are saying is prices have temporarily dropped,
supply volumes have increased,
and many liberal political attorney general's..
now want to forbid civilian sales of ammo to
any civilians and forbid any lead ammo sales.
(using environmental concerns as an excuse for stricter gun control.)

so buy as much as you can afford now before prices skyrocket and,
supply dwindles or is cut off, to the civilian market... which is very likely,
especially if the political climate changes drastically, which its eventually sure to do!

btw shop carefully, it's not uncommon to see a box of 20 rifle cartridges cost, lets say $39-$79 at a local gun shop,

you may be amazed to find a 20 cartridge box that listed for $39-$79 per box,
selling for less than half that cost per cartridge in case lots of 500-800-1000 cartridge case lots

yeah I know that for many people the idea of purchasing $400-$1000,
dollars worth of a single caliber of ammo seems absurd but it can be a great investment

due to several factors you might eventually in the near future find handloading almost mandatory,
and the cost of components WILL be increasing
