carb spacers and related intake modification

spacers add significant volume to a carbs intake manifold plenum and reduce the change in air flow angle and resulting turbulence
, that can result in more uneven fuel/air ratios between the various intake runner entrances or ports in the plenum, or port to port fuel/air distribution.
in most cases adding a spacer tends to marginally reduce off idle crispness, or throttle response when cruising, to minor throttle changes,
but aids mid and upper rpm power curves
