I have known for decades I like acquiring new tools, I browse, tool web sites and think.... "I don't have one of those yet! "
but today I saw an add for a tool and ask myself...."I don't have one of those yet! " but then thought to myself...
"I don't remember needing to do that in the last 60 plus years...
in fact I had no idea that anyone had done that in the last 60 plus years...maybe.... I don't really need one?
so there is hope with the addiction

Better to have it when you need it than to need it and not have it.
Buy the tool even if you just loan it to someone who does need it.
Maybe you'll get it back some day.

Ive had guys borrow expensive tool's three times in the past, 57 years or so,
(YEAH I NEED A MUCH BETTER SET OF ACQUANTINANCES)
and when I went to retrieve the tools a few weeks later....
drove by their homes when they would not answer the phone...
I only then found they had MOVED out of STATE, too address unknown,
and no one knew the new phone number
(most times the current home owner, or real estate office, had no idea where they moved too!)
thus I learned to never loan any expensive tools, I won't willingly give away(loan?? tools)
this is prudent , I once had a guy try to borrow an expensive mig welder
I found out from a close friend, he planed to pawn it to make his rent payment

I would love a mill and nice fabricating tools I to make whatever the mind can think. I have a 3d printer which can do carbon fiber filament which is a really cool tool also for making anything out of plastic and some stronger stuff too.
