Couldn't Possibly Be A 302, Could It?

We just picked up a project Nova and were looking up the casting numbers on the block 3970010 and it says the numbers are for a 69 z28 302.
I'm pretty sure that is a rare motor and not likely to end up in a ratty rusty nova project car.
Is it posible that they reran the numbers on another block series or something?

Yup. Have one of these 3970010 “CE” blocks out of a 1980 K30, 4 bolt main sitting in the hangar.
