as you get a bit older you'll surely notice bending or squatting to get the proper access to some areas on a car is both uncomfortable and at times difficult or even painful.
yeah a lift in the shop tends to make access to many areas a bit easier but there's plenty of times,
where you just need a seat or creeper on rollers with an adjustable height to save you a great deal of discomfort.
mechanics creepers that work reasonably well allowing you to work on your back are reasonably easy to find, but a seat, not so much
most commercial seats are either rather flimsy and unstable or have little or no height adjustability.
many people in this hobby have a mechanics creeper and most have a plastic milk crate they use to sit on.
Im looking for a BUILD IT YOURSELF DESIGN
for a stable mechanics seat on roller wheels
that can be adjusted in height from about 6" to about 18" in height
in about 3" steps
I may have to design it myself ,
unless someone has a link or has built something similar
youll need stable and sturdy jack stands under a car that raise the frame from between about 20"-to about 25"
in most cases to allow room to work and that generally means a transmission jack with that lift height allso at times, several decent lights etc.
