many of us have a spare engine or engine block that is in our shop and,
it helps if its mounted on wheels so its rather easy to move around,
but most of use either don't want to buy or store several extra engine assembly stands to do this.
the solution can be to buy or fabricate an engine storage cart that takes up far less room and costs less,
obviously having a drill press a decent welder a 12" caliper and some fabrication skills:D
would make fabricating your own engine storage frame rather easy

the pictures above and LINKS below should give you some ideas,
and a local metal supply can rather easily supply you with the basic steel required,
most metal supply houses will cut metal parts ordered,
to your selected size
for a nominal extra fee per cut,
