here is obviously some guy defending his home in BAD NEED of a semi auto 12 ga loaded with buckshot

in trained hands something like this, shotgun linked below would be a hugely more effective choice
as is obvious the guy shooting does not seem to be hitting the home invaders with whatever he used.

I'VE USED THAT EXACT SHOTGUN ON WILD HOGS IN FLORIDA AND CAN ATTEST TO HOW EFFECTIVE IT CAN BE!
especially if used correctly at ranges in the 20-30 yard range where it's quite effective with both slugs and buckshot

the idea just occurred to me maybe the home owner was shooting over their heads intentionally,
missing on purpose, just to scare them, but that would be INSANELY dangerous to people he never intended to hurt,
as all those bullets zipping out through the door,
could un-intentionally do a great deal of damage to people ,
that unlike the home invading social trash don't deserve to get hit!
low life home invading trash, kicking in a front door,
should know they are putting their lives in serious danger and know they are likely to get shot,
try that "kicking in the front door crap, in a rural area in FLA or texas"
and I doubt you'll make it through 3-5 houses MAX before your tickets punched!

Id point out that hogs in many areas vastly prefer thick brush and are rarely far from it,
making the distance you can even see them rather limited
many of the guys I hunt with prefer carbines chambered in 357 mag, 44 mag or 7.62/39 or 223 rem.
all work with proper shot placement,
notice this guy used 00 buckshot in a 12 gauge shotgun at maybe 12-15 yards (its ideal range)
and got the results most people see if the shotguns aimed at the hogs head & shoulder area.
past about 35 yards there's no comparing the results you get with slugs vs buckshot, as buckshot rapidly loses its penetration
while slugs are lethal well past 150 yards
