All Harbor Freight jack stands - 3 ton, 6 ton and 12 ton stands are the primary recall
However, ALL jack stands made by Pittsburgh must be returned to HF for a cash or credit card refund Right now.
There is an extremely dangerous flaw in the design of all Pittsburgh made jack stands.

how far back does this go I have 2 sets that I had the Vette on for 7 years I'll have to take a look

The recall doesn’t include dates in the recall Ray. There is a Texas law firm that hints towards micro fractures In Pittsburgh’s steel and cast iron products.
I do know for a fact that Pittsburgh Steel Tooling started buying all their raw steel and iron from India and South America starting back in 2014 with Pittsburgh tooling setting up ownership of several mills in Brazil and Argentina.

I have a few light duty tools made by Pittsburgh - that’s about it. I have Craftsman’s support jacks and a pair of GM special edition Dale Earnhardt jacks, woo-Hoo!

Added note:

While this is not breaking news, HF previously announced a recall of their 3 and 6 ton stands with certain dates and serial numbers 2 or 3 weeks ago, however my post is to let everyone know that the recall not only expanded to include the 12 ton stands BUT now All Pittsburgh jack stands are being accepted back and refunds are no questions asked.

This (picture above) is how the stands are defective. Man I hope nobody has been hurt or worse!

that's interesting, but after owning and using (6) 12 ton rated HF jack stands for over 35 years,
IM a bit skeptical that the ones I own have any flaws, and it certainly would not hurt if you owned or built yourself a few support blocks to use along with jack stands, use your head, think things through and don,t get crushed due to wanting to save a few minutes or being stupid and cheap.
