Just working my way trough Grumpy's links here, I came across this.
Not sure if I'm reading that right, but it looks like that for my cam 211/219 @ 50 I should be at 11-19 just for the mechanical advance, and together with vacuum advance at 26-30 altogether. Is that right?
Also... is this just vor 8 cylinders or does the same apply also to an inline 6?
Follow up question: Not sure if my 261 qualifies as "performance engine", but it idles at around 12-15 hg with 29 deg. timing (900 rpm).
So maybe (according to tat chart) I would benefit from a vacuum canister - actually I have no idea what exactly that does to the ignition, I only know it is used for wipers and brakes.
