Is There Too Many Transmission Fluid Choices?

Apparently not really. I can count over 52 choices in brands, blends and types with additives. Getting crazier over time with newer cars and trucks. Here’s a good article out of Hot Rod mag. I looked but couldn’t find any repeat here.

I’m going nuts. What ever ATF I choose, even the Fram for older GM multi vehicles fluid comes up a wrong choice on a Ordering filter for a 1968 Catalina automatic and 400 cu in.
