Low Oil Pressure At Idle

Does anyone know why my oil pressure drops when I come to a stop ?
I have a 1969 C10. 350 engine

are you stating that at idle you have far lower oil pressure?
are you suggesting that as rpms increase so does the oil pressure?
have you checked your dipstick/oil level?
have you done an oil/filter change recently?
have you verified that oil pressure with a second independent gauge to verify its low at idle?

oil pressure is the result of the resistance to oil flow,
the low pressure tends to indicate either worn bearings or a well worn or defective oil pump,
but could be the result of a loose oil passage plug or loose oil pump pick-up,
or defective oil filter.

the band-aid approach would be to swap to a high volume oil pump but that would only temporarily tend too hide the issue not cure it.
in an ideal world , you do a engine refresh with new rings, bearings and gaskets after carefully inspecting and measuring the components of the engine
