Lt1 Ignition Options You Might Not Of Thought Of.

Hey I actually went through this 411 pcm swap on an LT1. In a 1996 Impala SS. I did it the hard way for sure. But it went in with a kit from EFI Connection. Their 24x kit. It was pricey and we had to change the timing cover and add tone rings to the front of the cam & crank sprockets. I chose to install a new harness for an LS1 vs. adding the wires needed for cmp, ckp, coils, and changing the pcm connectors. That install went down right here: https://www.superchargerforums.com/threads/1996-impala-ss-rmcr-stage-2-with-ls1-controller.5211/

For the time and the money I think the better way forward for the LT1 powered C4 corvettes is to install this intake manifold: https://www.jegs.com/i/GM+Performan...7qPIGw-eCyBqsgvNzCUHW4h9LWpoAZucaAnkEEALw_wcB

And this FAST fuel injection kit: https://www.fuelairspark.com/ez-efi-2-0r-self-tuning-engine-control-system-base-kit.html

We will need to use this adapter for the square bore t.b. to sit on the spread bore manifold: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/edl-2732

And an MSD distributor will need to be acquired also. One like this: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/..._9pDxSiY6uUiaa2hB1LbhRW4sKIbb-F4aAsibEALw_wcB

With this setup everything can go in from up top. The optispark, crank pulley, and water pump don't need to be touched. Intake manifold only. And the beauty about going this direction is in the end it will all be self tuning and you will get a beautiful color touchscreen to place in the car and show you all your engine's data and even tell you why when something goes wrong. A drop base air cleaner will also be required for this conversion.
