"Hello all. I was considering a conversion to an overdrive transmission kit.(1975 corvette)
But after seeing the cost (4-5 thousand) can't help but wondering if it's worth it. Any comments or thoughts?

If anyone has don the conversion what's the best easiest kit out there.
Is it reliable?

Thanks

more info on the car your intending to do that drive train swap too would be helpful here ,
and a 200r4 is easily swapped into where a th350 was previously,
it may not be a manual transmission but a correctly built 200r4 will shift faster and more consistently than almost any manual trans,
those performance 200r4 transmissions can be had much less expensively, than the $4k you quoted obviously youll want to discuss the details of if you can buy the correct torque converter and re-use or buy a new shifter
200-R4.....................2.74.....1.57....1.0.....67
if pockets are deep you have options
