Measuring the Output Shaft on the Turbo 400 | Curt's Corner at Monster Transmission

This mainly applies to Truck 4x4 Turbo 400 Swaps.
What I want to do with my 1994 K1500 Suburban.
To get rid of the crappy 4l60E trans used OEM.

There are actually 4 different TH 400 output shafts.
There was a Long tailshaft TH 400 used in GM B bodies, Like Pontiac Bonneville 455 in 1970.

With Big Tires the 4L60E's fail fast.
Why Turbo 400 has been found to be best.
4L80E can be used, there is a problem I have seen on Facebook using, The input shaft of 4L80E sometimes fractures or snaps in 1/2. Will only happen with Big Tires like 35-44 inches tall.

Turbo 400 is the lowest cost Bullet Proof. No special mods needed.
Why I desire it.
