this cartridge was specifically designed to work in guns originally designed to feed and function with a 30/30.
but its not designed to work in the ar 15 platform like the 350 legend is.
and the new 360 buck hammer has about a 350 fps advantage over the older 35 rem cartridge,
plus it has the big advantage of using common .358 bullets like the 358 win and 35 Whelan,
rather than the far less common 9mm rifle bullets like the 350 legend
personally I strongly suggest you buy a browning BLR in 358 win if you want a lever action hunting rifle,
safe handloads in a 358 win allow a 225 grain bullet to be pushed to 2350 fps in the BLR, and a 250 grains to 2250 fps, both proven lethal on elk out past 250 yards
