This week I ordered some new rear shocks. The ones I'm using now are abit old, they are
from a 1960s Mustang. I'm hitting bottom quit often with just a small depression in the
road, especially with two people in the car.
I wanted something shorter, but this was the best I could do. But they are adjustable. I
can't image using anything over 6 of 18 clicks. After that I can't move it by hand, they are
really for a much heavier car than my TBucket.
The bolt holes had to be drilled larger from a 5/16 to 3/8 inch bolt
Below you can see how I had to open up the main diameter from 1-5/8 to 2-0 inches to fit
the new shocks. I also had to cut a half circle notch so that the adjuster could fit thru the
hole. That was fun wearing all that steel particles in my clothes and on my skins everywhere.
The next two photos gives you a comparison look at the difference between
the old and the new.
