That bench will hold a battleship.
Haha, well I don’t want it cheap, pipe is .154 thick, upright and caster pads are .25 thick. It weigh approximately 125 lbs at that point, the 3/8 plate made it 250 lbs. I am thinking it might weigh a total of 300 lbs by the time I am done.

Ive always rather wished I had this work bench/table in my shop

Put a 1.000" inch hole somewhere in the steel bench top Bob.
You can use a Hole saw or Acetylene gas Ax.
That way you can build the 700R4 main drum easy with the Turbine input shaft put through bench top hole.

Bob, is there a reason you didn't go with a top that overhangs the frame by 2-3 inches, seems it would be
easier to belly up to ?

No reason, but with the bottom frame about 7 inches off the ground you can get up pretty close to it! I was also limited on what my boss would let me have.

That should work, just doesn't look that high in the pics.
To the flat of the top plate is 37 inches, remember when we got the casters, they are 5 inch wheels plus the turret, it’s 7 1/4 to the bottom of lower frame. I am going to wrap the tool tray with a small angle iron to keep the tools on the tray. I haven’t decided if I am going to paint the top. I had to shim one corner to allow for the warpage of the frames and to level it. I may put one light coat of paint on the top to keep it clean while the tranny is being built.

It makes a great welding table also (you should know). Don't paint the top, spray it with one of those anti-rust greasy coatings to keep it from rusting. Wipes off easily if you need to do some welding. Nice work.

This old man has trouble bending over. The last pic is, you guessed it, a broken Bud Light longneck, raising my hand guilty of alcohol abuse!
