rats and virus 19 changes to food availability,
many of you have cars stored in garages and don,t think of this as a threat normally,
but
with the current drastic changes in human behavior,
the millions of rats that commonly feed regularly off discards in restaurant dumpsters,
grocery store, dumpsters, your local 7/11 etc.
and food left discarded in parks, playgrounds and other areas,
that with the current lock-down are no longer food sources
those vermin, are now finding food access much restricted,
you can expect your home or shop to be checked out and searched,
by the vermin if its located close to what was prior to this, a food supply.
so your homes and shops, car interiors,
home wiring etc are now more at risk,
it would be prudent to set a few rat/mouse traps,
and maybe place poison where pets and kids can't get access to those items.
even if youve never had issues before,
you might be amazed at the results youll see , under current non-typical conditions

it may be old school but I purchased a dozen
and if you use them correctly they work, a mix of bacon grease and peanut butter on the trigger peddle works well as bait,
wear rubber gloves you don,t want your scent on the trap and you don,t want to touch dead rats either.
obviously set traps only where kids, pets and curious & clueless adults can not get access

one neighbor has purchased a couple plastic 50 cal ammo cans,
he then, used a door handle hole saw, and drilled a 2.25" diameter hole in one end,
at the container wall base, and glued the trap internally to the inside base,
thus its far less likely that kids or pets gain access,
but rats can easily get whacked

google or amazon/ebay
read the previous post on rat trap mods
mix bacon bits and peanut butter on the trap bait tray and cut and screw it to a piece of plywood
about the size of 7" x 12 " ( placing the trap on a board in a box, eliminates any chance they run away with the trap modified as previously suggested,) and place it in a cardboard box thats about 14" x 14" x 12" with a 2" x 3" hole in one corner near the base, and set it out in your shop along a wall
my neighbor has horses and cattle he raises and feeds so his barn attracts rats, they occasionally visit my shop, follow the advice and you eliminate the occasional small vermin visitor
the rats love to investigate odors inboxes

use a new trap and box after a rats eliminated as they can smell the previous dead rat
