something new as a cross over hunting weapon

Great Rifle but not practical for most. The cost is prohibitive in my opinion, but someone could come up with a better solution to filling and firing.

For a first of its kind it seem quite well thought through. I wonder how quiet it really is...

A deer would hear it when you pull the trigger and possibly duck or jump before the arrow hit it from 100 yards as in the video showed. 25 to 50 yards may be good to go. Nothing that fires a bullet or a trajectory by string is completely quiet. If nothing else you would hear the bolt slamming in a semi auto or a bolt action locking and unlocking. Whisper quiet sounds about right. JMHO

Absolutely!

Ive hunted enough deer and hogs with a revolver, and a bow,
too know even a gunshot tends to make them drop a bit and freeze for a moment,
while they locate the source before they kick it into panic & flee mode,
so you might find they moved slightly before arrow impact but I doubt you'll find you miss,
hitting the vitals even out at 100 yards with the accuracy the video shows.
the cost makes it rather impractical because the game department will most likely not allow its use during archer season, and restrict it to regular gun season, or muzzle loading rifle season.
it would be interesting to see how they rule on when it can be used.
will it be seen as a crossbow or an exotic rifle

Exactly!! Govmt intervention on OUR behalf as to what will be legal and do as they want us to!! Monarchy!! Until someone gets hungry and says this> You're guilty only after you've been caught and found guilty by a jury of twelve peers who may be hungry also!!!
