I've only had the opportunity to help work on a couple boss 429 mustangs, over the last 50 years,
I only know of two that a couple of the guys I know own, one guy has owned his since the early 1970 when he bought one used with very limited mileage from a a guy he worked with that was getting divorced.
most people that owned these mustangs were a bit disappointed at first as they were in original stock condition about a high 12 second car with the original tires and factory tune.
but the engine could be made to run very impressively with a stroker crank assembly headers and a different cam, I know I was very impressed with the design, and its very obvious that adapted to twin turbos and a stroker assembly, the combo has immense potential, the only real down side is very high parts cost and a very limited area in the car engine bay to work.
keep in mind most guys that own these now would never consider modifying them as collector values is astronomical for original mustangs in good condition.

if you've ever looked at these cylinder heads and port size its very obvious the engine was designed to operate at 5000 plus rpm most of the time, adding a stroker crank to increase the displacement up in the 480-514 range and/o adding a couple turbos to the build, helps solve the low port velocity issues the 429 displacement has at lower rpms
