buy bullets powder and primers in bulk , it costs a bunch more up front .
but its far cheaper to manufacture ,per cartridge in the long term

look at the cost per bullet/ cartridge,
you can significantly reduce this cost if you shop carefully.

run all cases, to be reloaded through a case cleaner

resize all primer pockets..

especially on mill surplus cases vs commercial

ideally use Winchester or federal primers
they tend to be far more consistent and accurate

most rifle twist rates are designed to stabilize the 55 grain bullets,
but will stabilize the heavier 62-64 grain,
faster twist rates like 8 :1 will stabilize heavier 62-68 grain bullets,
much better, and frequently improve accuracy

bullet designed with a slight boat tail tend to load easier

with careful component selection you can reduce the cost per cartridge,
to less than 1/3rd of the cost, or even less of commercial ammo

time to stock up when you can do so, personally,
Id go with the 62-64 grain bullets, and varget or WW748 powder
and

https://www.model1sales.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=171
personally ID select a 1:8 twist rate, 24" long bull
barrel on any ar 15 rifle

nm chrome bolt carrier and fluted stainless 24" threaded barrel:D
if I wanted the best accuracy and top

velocity's (yes this results in a heavy rifle,
but Im hunting with it, not in combat,
Id drop to a 16"-20" in a combat combo)
but retain the
nm chrome bolt carrier ,
and fluted stainless threaded barrel
for max accuracy and durability
currently $760 for the completion kit ,
with your own lower stripped reciever

62-64 grain bullets in a 223 /ar15 allow both deeper penetration ,
and tend to be marginally more , consistently,
accurate in many rifles
