Which Corvette To Buy

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!
That is the first time i've seen that since that movie came out! Night Stalker ...that is too damn funny!

But.. I would never talk to my wife like that. :)

I LOST THE ARGUMENT!!

I took all you guys advise and tried to use them last night.

I brought home a small vase of flowers and set it on the kitchen table just to break the tension...
Once she started talking... I took her out to dinner for a "Happy Meal" at the local Olive Garden .
We talked about (well.. mainly HER) how we planned on doing the first renovation to our house since we built it.
Then she brought up my MUD TRUCK!!! She seemed fairly upset that I am pushing $40,000 into this truck.
I tried to mention that every man needs a hobby.. this was prolly the wrong thing to say cause she seemed to get more upset.

So.. after awhile.. she said that it wasn't that she did not like the vette, and she would like to have it. It was more important to her
to finish the house remodel and driveway. Then we could look into a corvette at point in time.
She kept pushing for me to sell my truck though!!!

I think she is afraid of me hurting or killing myself in it. She knows how I drive it and that truck scares her.
It's BIG, LOUD, and VIOLENT!! (What every man likes!)

She brought up how scared she was when I was riding Bulls, and asked me how I thought it made her feel when I was being tossed around by a 2500
pound animal that wanted nothing more than to really hurt me! ( I finally stopped riding when I was 50 years old, cause it really was starting to hurt)

And then we talked about retirement, which is closing in fast, and how we planned on traveling for awhile..

So.... after some very tough negotiations... I came out with this..: I can buy a corvette after I reside the house, install a new patio door, and put cement
down in the driveway, along with installing a side walk from the driveway to the front door.

In the mean time: She released enough cash to me so I can get my motor completely and back in the truck this summer!!
This means I can purchase that FI-TECH 1200 system!!!!

This was her give and take deal for me.... I thought it was fair!

BUT I DAMN NEAR BLEW IT THIS MORNING !!! As I was walking out the door for work this morning, she asked me what I wanted
for dinner tonight cause she was going to the store.. Dumb A** ME.......had the video that "Night Stalker" posted, in my head
and I replied.... MAKE ME A TURKEY POT PIE!

I hope my truck is still there when I get home this afternoon!!! :Do_O

Get Your Fi Tech.
I think the Holley EFI Terminator is better.
Seen it perform working on a hot 454 Street truck that was in the Race Shop I worked at in past.
Donny my Co Worker instslled.
Performed flawless.

Fi Tech hit or miss.
Cruising Trans Am guys use FI Tech on Trans Am forum.
Some had issues.
None drag race but 1 guy.
He uses a Custom Holley Race carburator 4150.
 
trust me, the answer to what would you like for dinner is always a three part statement

"what ever you might want to cook , you know I love your (fill in the blank)
Or we could always go out to some place,
Or order in, from some where you might like dear"

after awhile they just cook diner,or order chinese or pizza etc.
if they had a hard day,
because you are most likely like every one else....
can,t really afford to go out for every meal, no drama

my wife asked my why I have no preferences..
I said, Id rather have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and coffee for dinner
or skip dinner than make you work if your not up to it!

if they realize your trying to make it better for them....you get more T.L.C. and less arguments
besides most of us should loose a few pounds anyway
 
I guess no hug and kiss from me would help--but at least you're not out at the bars gettin' drunk and laid.

Had I used that... I may have gotten the Vette! lol

That is it, The Holley Sniper.
I always call it the Terminator...the old movie series.

I think the Holley Sniper is better for racing use myself.
Research more later.
Have to get ready & leave for Eds house soon.
