All I can say is buy good equipment and spend a bit more now,
because , if you don,t..in a few years youll be rather shocked at the cost to buy the same equipment.
one guy I know had his shop broken into and several major tools stolen,
hes shocked at the price increases and I don,t blame him!!
not only has the insurance adjuster LOW BALLED the replacement cost,

the replacement cost has increase significantly for the identical equipment

obviously having increased shop security and better insurance is a good idea.

Its the cost of 100 % Pure Copper to build Transformers for welders & High end electronics used in the Premium MIG Welders Grumpy, Likely what I think for price increase.

Aluminum wire used in Low grade welders And aluminum transformers.
Performance suffers.

And dont forget about the cost of Tee-shirts....I was with the wife last night and she paid $30 for ONE shirt!!!
This is another good reason to have a nice welding jacket... to cover and save your expensive tee-shirt! lol

That is too much unless its a Racing Logo T-shirt.
Crane cams.
Crower.
Isky, ect.
Only wear them around car Buds & night out with the wife. Let all know your a Hotrodder racer.

LOL I normally wear very light weight dress shirts with the sleeves cut off.
I remember the last shirt I bought was around $80 and when the gal at the counter wrang it up, I asked her if she had a pair of scissors.
She said sure, you want me to cut the tags off? I told her that I had better do it given the cost of the shirt, so she handed me the scissors.
You should have seen the look on her face when I cut the sleeves off right there at the counter!!
I told her that it was hard to find a light weight short sleeve shirt, and even then, the sleeves are still to long!

My wife looked at her and said."I can take him out of the country, but I can not take the country out of him"!
I'm like a dressed up Larry the cable guy! lol

I grew up in a small town.
I used to dress up alot when younger.
I found myself working at cars when out guys broke down.
Gotta get dirty.
Live on my farmhouse now.
T-shirt , Blue jeans, & plaid shirt.
Wool shirt my favorite.
I don't cut my sleeves though. Roll them up.

Here is one of my favorite dress shirts. They keep you cooler than a tee- shirt.

Drives me nuts every time I walk by where the old barn was on farm.
Concrete footing still there nothing else.
Need Moola !
Someday build a shop like Grumpy. Has to smaller though, able to afford then.
Work out of my basement, the 1-1/2 car garage. Outside till then.

Happy for You , have your Barn Workshop.
It's an awesome feeling every time you walk in I recall.

Yea I do!! don't be about big crowds of people and after 10pm at night. NOTHING BUT TROUBLE then and all you have to do is be near it. Keep your head on a swivel and always look for the nearest exit when in a building and keep your back to the wall.

There is MUCH more but some would not go by my ways. I can't run anymore and ain't scared so I turn and walk to a threat with my heater looking for the problem. Always carrying!! Always.
