Advice On Sbc 354

Looking for advice on an engine I'm looking to build and see if anyone has see any dyno number for this combo the reason for this combo is a 360 cubic inch rule.
So here is what I have.
World motown pro block
Bore 4.155
50mm cam tunnel
Deck height 9.00
350 mains
Callies magnum xl 3.250 crankshaft with 2.00 journals
Oliver 6.250 standard light rods
JE dome 13cc pistions compression ratio with heads 14.2 compression height 1.125
World Motown Iron 220 64cc heads with 2.08 intake and 1.60 exhaust
Titanium valves, locks, retainers Jesel shaft rockers 1.6 ratio
Lunati solid roller cam
Advertised Duration (Int/Exh): 292/294 ;Duration @ .050 (Int/Exh): 264/266 ;Gross Valve Lift (Int/Exh): .660/.660 ;LSA/ICL: 108/102 ;Valve Lash (Int/Exh): .014/.016
World high rise single plan intake
Willey's 850 cfm alcohol carb.
MSD billet trigger Distributor without advance. MSD 8 series box with crank trigger.
This engine is for a dirt limited late model.
Car weight is 2300 with direct drive brinn transmission. Fuel pump and power steering pump ran off rear crankshaft coupler and mounted on the bell housing. Also running electric water pump.

Not a lot of information on this combo. I know it has been done just seeing if anyone has some numbers of what kind of horsepower and torque it can put out.

maybe someone can do a software dyno
what cam, manufacturer and part number?

:thumbsup::thumbsup:I'm loving this one already - a 353 ci SBC with the bore of a .030 over 400 and the stroke of a 327.:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Plus long rods and light pistons. It should SCREAM!
If I were ever to build another, this would be IT or maybe a 377 .

That is what I'm think also. Have a 360 cubic inch rule to deal with and try to think outside the box. I think I would put it up to any 383

I ran a dyno for you John, I used all your specs and I have 681 hp @ 7500 and 572 tq @ 5500. Thats on Desktop Dyno 2000! Indycars has a dyno software that is probably more accurate than mine. Curves on my dyno show it to be above 400 ft lbs of tq at about 2250 rpm and stays above that all the way to 8500 rpm. The peak is just shy of 5500 table shows 5500 but its actually about 5400 and stays there until 5600.

John is building a higher rpm version of the engine listed in that article. But its going to be a bad ass screamer!

You could bore it to 4.185 or 4.195 and still be under the 360 CI rule. 4.185 would be 357.65 CI and 4.195 would be 359.35 CI, either one would net another 10 or so hp and 4 ft lbs of tq if you retarded the cam 4 degrees. That world block can bore larger, call them and find out how big it will bore, I think their limit is 4.2.

I was think somewhere in the 600s on horsepower and 450 to 500 on torque so I was not to far off on my numbers. Good think I got a great valve train.

Talked with them already the don't recommend going over 4.185.

They are usually 18 degree head and 12 and 15 degree valve inclination angle cylinder head engines Super Late Model Dirt today.

700Hp being the low side.
950 Hp High side top runners.

Without Superflow Water brake Dyno testing or Pipe Max used with stepped headers and 23 degree heads it will only be so accurate.

360 SBC with Brodix 18x heads is a 700 Hp combo well known in dirt track world.

What Brand Headers do You Have ?
Schoenfields ?
They work best Dirt Track racing running 8000 Rpm steady with Redline set to 9500-11000 rpms.

The intake plenum volume and Ported clean right is key with proper headers.
Nothing works better than Pipe Max program simulator.
None of us have it here.
Pro Head Porters have it.
CHAD Spiers on Facebook his page.
