What Rocker Arm studs aftermarket to use with the 1965 Olds 425 Ci "A" heads ?
1965 has one year only special screw in Rocker arm studs.
3/8" X 3/8".
Ford Small Block Winsdor Roller Rockers can be used ?
Can't verify searching online on Oldsmobile Classic Forum or 442.com Forum.
Searched here in Grumpys site.
Very little Info on these 425 ci 1965 A engines.
Popular 30-40 years ago.
Can You help Grumpy ?
Maybe 2 Loose can help also if around.

Later Olds engines 1966-79 used a Fixed bridge pair Trunion with 5/16" -18 bolts to retain.

Wish to upgrade to an adjustable valvetrain.
Other is to have custom adjudtable pushrods made by Smith Brothers..
Talked to Ron Iskendarien that ground my special 45 degree lifter bank angle Cam.
1965 unique. His adjustable pushrods just short of my Aplication.
Gave me Smith Brothers #.
He also said no aftermarket roller rockers have exact geometry as stock original Olds 1.6 rockers.
Few building Olds engines anymore I have found.
Just strange because I grew up around Olds, Chevy, Mopar, Ford & Pontiac guys.

I see I really stumped You Grumpy.
No one else here besides 2 Loose & Me likes Oldsmobile V8's.
Joe Mondello is now dead too
I have a Verticle Mill Bridgeport & Southbend Lathe in my Shop.
Electromagnetic Sine Base Chuck for my Verticle Mill too.
And I have special Pontiac V8 Racing Rocker Arm 7/16" studs put away new.
1/2 -13 base.

Its never been done before.
Full roller rocker arm install on an Original 1965 Olds 425 V8.
At least not for 40 years now.

HAVE A PLAN.
Worked it out in my mind tonight.

Brian.

Re: 1965 Olds 425 Rocker Arm Stud Part # Roller Rckr SBF Win

I like SOME ford engines like the 429-460 series and 427 cammers but Ive just never had much experience with most of the other ford engines and what i have had Id like to ignore or forget!
AS TO THE olds ENGINE ROCKERS, I JUST SAW THIS POST TODAY AT 11:50AM FOR THE FIRST TIME,and I regret I can,t think of anything really helpful, obviously some careful measurement and access to a mill and lathe will allow you to fabricate an adapter plate to use some similar shaft rocker components, but that will be a bit more time and effort than most guys would care to get involved with

There is a near identical Valvetrain layout as a SBC, BBC , & PONTIAC V8 on this 1965 Olds 425 engine Grumpy.
The Rocker studs are only around 7/8" tall. With a a square cut shoulder for the nut to bottom down onto.
Just like all stock Pontiac V8's other than the Early Super Duty 421 & Ram Air 4 400.
Poncho had the bottle neck Rocker studs.

I can ream these A Olds heads rocker threads for 1/2" -13 & Tap.
Found my special Pontiac only earlt engine ARP PRO Ricker Studs.

I have to redress all valvestem tips on my Sioux 624 Valvegrinder wet coolant.
Stock Geometry gone.
Adjustable valvetrain or pushrods a must.
