The most practical is to Knife Edge the Crank without going Nuts removing Mass.
Its not easy 1000 Hp and it staying together.Problem is the lack of knowledge over here. Supposedly they can do the crank but the pins I gotta find a lathe and turn em out my self.... I mean 1000 H.P. + pins can be turned down quite a bit. I think I would need a billet bottom end to crank out any mote than high 6's low 7's and then I would toss the pistons and rods and go for something a lot more common because you know at a grand things can screw up real fast. Not that they dont at lower power levels.
On a side note: I would have shite my pants at 650 H.P. a few years ago. Now it seems like a mundane number with a whole lot of PITA to get there for this motor. Kind of feels like turning a hay bailer motor into a circle track engine. lol
EDIT: Forgot to mention everything has been measured... They destroyed the flywheel I think I posted but its all packed up and ready for the 8 hr drive to tokyo. Im still a little cranky they wont turn the pins but I can live with it
OkI mean these pins are rated at 1000+ H.P. at their current thickness.
