I wanted to reply that the valves used in the Throttle's EMC Pontiac were REV custom 5/16, NOT titanium.

If you have any questions about the induction, please ask!

pontiac engines I've built really respond to intake and cam upgrades,
but require a decent set of headers and a low flow restriction exhaust systems to perform well.
yes selecting and matching the heads and compression ratio is as always critical

consult your favorite cam vendor but try not to go to far on duration, its been my experience something in the 225-230 duration at .050 lift gives a nice boost if the gearing and converter stall speed matches, once the heads and intake are upgraded

be aware finding a decent pontiac core block, in great condition,
to start a project with can be a P.I.T.A. especially the 428 and 455 versions most guys prefer
and yeah the earlier 389-421 can require a different set of parts like intake and heads to work and fit correctly,
you can't always mix and match pontiac parts like heads and intakes randomly

if you have the required hood clearance a 750 double pump holley carb and this intake makes a nice power boost

cams like this howard hydraulic roller , 4/7 swap version cam,
have always performed well in my experience at least in the 4 speed cars like the firebirds and 1970 GTO
