540 BBC dyno??

Enjoyed the thread, have a 502 am considering down the road building into a 540, easy to do. I used a similiar fuel setup on my blown 425 Olds project, even added a 10 micron filter after the fuel pump. Had a fuel pump go bad once, with this setup, the 10 micron caught it all and kept it out of the carbs, but shut down the motor when it ran out of fuel because the filter caught all the junk and was plugged up! Using a 100 micron in front of the fuel pump, that seems to be fine. And all an8 lines. Wrapped them with header hi-temp tape along the frame rails as the exhaust system was pretty near, and it keeps the fuel nice and cool. I always run my fuel lines inside the frame rails for safety in the event of a side collision.
Aloha, and I hope by now you are getting the full potential out of your 540.
