8 '80s American Turbocharged Cars You May Not Know About

I found an early Pontiac 389 I want Grumpy.
Undesirable to nearly all today so I can get it cheap.
A few hundred $ only.
Rusty.
Will clean up by electrolysis or dipping in EVAPO Rust.
No modern Pontiac GM Trans will bolt up immediate without a custom adapter plate made.
Early Pontiac V8 blocks had the starter motor bolt right up to transmission bellhousing (1955-1963 & 64 except for 1964 GTO & 1964 Grand Prix).

Very High Nickle content early Pontiac V8 blocks.
More than Pontiac 455's had.

Perfect displacement for 76 mm Single Turbo Build on the street for 700-1000+ RWHP or Flywheel HP however you want to rate.
Like LSX & Ford Winsdor V8 5.0 guys are doing Now.

See if I can get the $ together to buy it.
Bare block.
So its real undesirable to all but me.

I have a 1964 Pontiac Super Hydromatic trans 4-speed.
Actually good for 700-800 hp with a stock rebuild.

Not your Favorite engine Grumpy,
But Oldsmobile V8 engines have become Rare.
Not sure why.
They may be nearly gone now usable cores out there or running engines yet.
I have not seen them for sale hardly at all in the last 1 year.
Ebay or Craigslist.
425 is definite worth something in future or now( value unknown because absolute none are for sale complete as mine is and running).

Pontiac V8 still found pretty easy.
The Pontiac Performance guys have shifted to all Race engine builds. $40,000-200,000 engine builds the few out there like me.
