you basically use a small ball-peen hammer, to impact the tool base,
after and while you apply manual twist torque with your hand on the tool,
its rather effective at popping the smaller screws and bolts loose, that you might otherwise shear if you just apply a larger breaker bar.

btw heres a tool I use a great deal
much easier to use than a screw driver in several applications
