Grumpy,
we spoke the other night for about an hr on the phone with my 84 oil pressure switch. i have installed a mach oil gauge using the port located by the oil filter. 40lbs of pressure on initial start up and tapers down to 26-27lbs after being warmed up, and will increase to 60-62lbs. now will i get the same pressure reading at the switch, as i do at bottom reading? havent been able to check it at the switch due to time involved getting to it. could it be possible that the top end be plugged up with trash causing no oil to reach the switch? thus leading to the oil light going off at higher rpms and the fuel system cutting out? is there any way to bypass the switch and just use the gauge i have installed?
