Looking at Grumpys site and Digital Corvette Forum,
We don't have anybody thrilled Street and Drag Racing against Hellcats in 2015.
What gives ?
Everyone give up but Me ?

:( dont forget about me brian...

i think out of the hole i can slap up a hellcat in current trim, shutting down eighth mile... but without a power adder or atleast a tune and fixing some of the things i dont like aout the combo.. i think theyll pass me up stairs.

not for long tho. putting some money aside to do all the tricks i have left up my sleeve at once

The LT-1 static compression is around 11.0 :1 I recall. Kinda high for Big Turbo Boost 11-22 psi.
Take a custom cam on real wide lobe centerlines of 118-121.
LSX B8 & B15 Style.

Drop the 4.8 LS IN PHIL.
STRONGER THAN THE OLDER LT1.

Shopping for Clutches.
They have gotten a lot more expensive in last 10 years.
Old Centerforce DF can be reused but prefer new.
There is a New DFX SERIES. CERAMIC Disc friction. 6-Puck Drag Race Style.
Interesting. Ball bearing Pressure plate slides. $450.
Original DF Is $370.

"Anyone Notice Lack of Drag Racing against Hellcats"
well my first thought on reading that was.... Ive seen only two on the street in the last 6 months so even if I had been driving my faster corvette and even if I had been driving it in an area where I might have been able to play a few street racing games in semi safe conditions the chances that it could be pulled off are and were virtually non-existent EVEN IF I were inclined to race on the street, and theres plenty of 10 second class cars at the drag local strip, I just don,t currently have the disposable cash to play.
maybe Ive just matured and gotten a good deal more cautious, but street racing sounds like a huge risk with zero upside and a huge potential financial and legal risk

Dates back to 1946 when WW2 Ended.
Aviation Mechanics missed real SPEED.
Homebuilt Stripped down Coupes and T-bucket Roadsters. Flat Head Ford V8 was engine of choice.
Then Olds Rocket V8 303.
Cadillac V8.
Pontiac V8.
BBC.
Your entire Youth Hotrod Culture was built around Drag Racing and Street Racing Grumpy.

Hmmm. You know, that's exactly how in been handling the TT as of late. The guardrails and curbsides seem so much closer than they used to.

My last street race, several years back, I buried a Mercedes SLK 55 AMG. It was quite fast and my speedo had maxed out somewhere over 200 kph.

...No WAY I'd do that now.

The funny bit was, when I slowed down to leave the highway, a motorcycle had caught up with me and gave me a thumbs up.

like grumpy said, i dont see many hellcats. even less than want to race... there were 200 cars at the 1/8 mile track last night... not one hellcat in sight.

I imagine we wil see more soon Phil.
H-cars.

Gives me time to get the T/A together to Race again.

I watched the Video already.
Grumpy has too because I posted yesterday on Digital Corvette Forum in Bad Shark Lounge.
Was sent to me 1st by BLK 1, Another DC Member That is Race Krazy like me.

Beating the Hellcats on the Street Normally Aspirated 383 SBC Is a pipe dream that will never suceed.
We are in an entire New Performance Era.
Old Race World I knew here Illinois 1991-2007.
Been telling everyone what was coming....
Scoffed at and laughed at.
