Piecing a 355cid enigine together from spare parts:
9:1 Mahles
Scat 5.7 rods
RHS 2.02/16 170cc RHS heads
Flow Tech Inductions HR cam 210/214-525/530@110

This engine will be sold and have two guys interested. Not alot out there for intakes that I'm interested in- spreadbore because I do like a PROPERLY built Rochester, found that Volvo Penta had Edelbrock make them a highrise and Eddy carries the Performer RPM 2516, also considering the low rise Performer 2116. $350 vs $200 respectively the 2516 has bronze inserts for corrosion resistance- unimportant to me but raises cost. One guy has a chevy S10 rod that a 406 deal fell through and another has a marine application. I'm thinking marine- cruise is likely around 2500rpm or idle.
Years ago I switched from GM iron to the Performer and really didn't see any difference on an unoptimized 350, sooooo which one?

if it goes on a marine application the bronzes insert coolant passage version is darn near mandatory as the electrolysis will eat the aluminum intake up in a few months time, especially in salt water applications, and in either case its much more durable.
Id sure point that out and add the cost to the sale price!
in any case Ive used that bronze insert intake on a few street cars as a durability item, and its well worth the money in my opinion, even on a non marine application if your main concern is low speed torque and mileage and durability rather than peak power numbers
