big block rectangle port tunnel ram

One of the local guys asked me to comment on selecting a tunnel ram intake ,for a big block rectangle port tunnel ram, to use with two 600 cfm holley carbs on a 540 cubic inch, 11:1 compression BBC engine hes currently gathering parts for.
He intends to install this engine, once its built, in a T-bucket he purchased recently from a guy that had to sell it due to loosing his job and being forced to move.
The car came with a ford 9" rear differential and a 4l80e trans, with the current differential having 3.50 range gears and disc brakes and a the current transmission has a 3200 rpm stall converter.
He already owns that t-bucket, (Ive got to learn how to take pictures and post them, that I personally take,) he purchased at a good price after the previous owner blew up the current 396 BBC engine thats in it now.
and hes looking at a solid roller cam like this(http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hrs-cl120405-08) with these heads (trickflow 340cc) he already bought cheaply,
powers not really the issue, he wants the TUNNEL RAM look and he figures he will have more than enough power, but he wants the bragging rights to say its a 540 cubic inch engine.

whats YOUR THOUGHTS GUYS??
( and no I doubt he will change his mind or take much advise on components, I have known him for decades)

carefully done, port work on the intake runners and plenum can produce significant flow rate improvements

thank you, the second link was rather interesting and informative!
Ive never had any problems getting a properly matched set of carbs on a tunnel ram dual quad set-up tuned and running decent, but it seems like its regarded as a black art, where you need to sell your soul to demons , similar to witch craft, when I.m talking too many guys I talk with.
I wonder how many guys picked up on the fact that the 800hp plus engine was built with 13.6:1 compression on a .100 over bore 454
