its a damn shame that more of these engines are not easy to find in salvage yards and that performance parts are not easy to find,
many guys don't know that back in the 1970s the BUICK 455 produced more torque and in a similar weight car was potentially faster than a 426 hemi!
and that properly modified the Pontiac and olds 455 engines were potentially able to produce very impressive power,
I knew several guys with 12 second 1/4 mile ,performance cars, running mildly modified Pontiac, Buick and olds 455 engines.
(and the 472-500 caddy engines)
and yeah a car that can run a 12 second time slip can be a lot of fun to drive
