So I have 1995 Corvette, how do I know what engine I have ..
Is it a 327 or a 350? Is it a crossfire or not? Not very familiar with the American way as I'm from the UK so I'd appreciate so info on my new toy.. Thanks

posting a picture of the engine would help

if its the original engine its a 350 LT1 or LT4 most likely, that will look similar to this

Great , so I guess I have a 350 with 300 horsepower!! So now what can I do to increase my bhp???

the answer to that depends on your checking account balance, mechanical skill level and what your willing to do to the car.
IT,s never going to be a cheap hobby but you can reduce the cost of modifying your car by a significant percentage , BY learning to do the work yourself in most areas, and buying a shop manual is almost mandatory if your going to work on the car, MORE IMPORTANTLY WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO LEARN TO DO, YOURSELF, IN THE QUEST FOR MORE POWER,
labor frequently costs almost as much , or in some cases more than, parts so learning to do work yourself saves a great deal of money

in general you have several options like, swapping in a more radical cam, larger port heads, that flow better, adding a stroker kit to increase displacement, adding a low restriction exhaust and headers, swapping to a different rear gear ratio, swapping to roller rockers to reduce friction losses,.or adding a supercharger.
If you give us some idea of your skill level and what your interested in spending on the project and how much hp your looking to get we can make , but remember youll need to make changes to the drive train in some cases, to match other changes like changes to the torque converter stall speed or rear gearing suggestions

EXAMPLE, read thru these links and buy and read the two book linked to below
