Boxed End Ratchet Wrenches

I know a lot of you probably already have them, but wanted to post none the less. Also, like a lot of you I have a lot of tools (some I have forgotten I had until I ran across them). I was on the fence for a long time about needing a ratchet wrench set. I could not remember ever working on something and thinking "wow, this would be a lot easier if I had a ratchet wrench". I finally decided to buy a set when I found a great deal on a Craftsman SAE set at Sears. I am now sorry I did not give them a chance earlier. They really are a very handy tool and have turned into my "go to" tool whenever I need a wrench instead of a socket. Just thought I would share that in case you are thinking the same thing. Now I am on the fence about needing a metric set like the SAE set. I might post again in a couple of years about that set. ;-)

I read through that post twice before it suddenly occurred to me what you were referring too.
(its early I need a cup of strong coffee)
Yes your correct they are a really handy tool to have in the shop,
I purchased a set of the flex head versions as soon as I tried a set my friend purchased after seeing how well they work, but just a bit of advice, break stuck bolts and nuts loose with something like a standard box end wrench end , if you buy the longer versions with that box end

Thanks for the tips Grumpy. I probably should have called them boxed end ratchet wrenches. Yep, I know you don't want to use them for any high torque type things. Based on the size of the wrench the small "lock" that rides on the ratchet mechanism can't be too big. I like that swivel set...might see a set in my future! Hey...it's Fathers Day tomorrow and I am one of those guys! -Glenn

I was surprised when my wife bought me this ratchet for fathers day,
I'd mentioned I'd like to try one out,

but money being tight I was not really expecting her to purchase one.
the INFINITE GEAR-LESS DESIGN is rather interesting
